Bad News

Very sad to hear about the demise of Fopp records, a truly ground breaking record retailer. I know a couple of people who work for Fopp and the both have families to support. It just goes to show what happens when you stretch yourself too far, which is clearly what happened when Fopp purchased Music Zone. The record companies were not prepared to support them and that was that. Very sad.

Good News

Great to hear that Edwin Collins is up and about and in fact recording, after his recent illness.

Evidence of Mr Collins' art is here:

Is That Metallica? No It's The Osmonds!`

My Old Man, Said Follow The Van...

and don't dilly dally on the wayyyya!
Am I the only one who thinks the White Stripes are a load of old tosh? Now they've turned their love of all things British to the Cockney King and Queen and the Goodies. It's Ecky Thump by the way! Emperor’s new clothes anyone?

R.I.P. The Doog

I was saddened to hear of the passing of one of my childhood heroes, Derek 'The Doog' Dougan. I watched him play for Wolves toward the end of his career, but boy he still had what it took, incredible 'old school' football in every sense of the word. Rest in peace Doog, thanks for the memories.

This is the single 'Your Song' [not the Elton John song!]

At last...It's raining!

We were down to the dregs in our water tank, but the skies opened today ! Not too popular with the cats, poor things!

The Final Curtain

Well, it's almost here.... the last ever episode of The Sopranos. Whatever happens will not doubt be emotional. I feel like I've lived half my life with Tony and co. and it will strange not having a new season to look forward to.
I think it's the right thing to do though...all good things some to an end. Plus I now have the chance of returning to the very first episode and watching the whole kit and caboodle!
So long Tony..ah for Christ Sake!
